Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Our medical practice, located in Bellaire, TX, provides primary medical care services to local psychiatric hospitals and substance abuse treatment centers in the Houston area. We are currently seeking experienced mid-level practitioners who are looking for a better quality of life and a work-life balance.

This role involves performing history and physicals for patients in psychiatric facilities, within 24 hours of their admission. The primary responsibility of the nurse practitioner/ or physician assistant is to manage basic medical conditions such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes (sliding scale already provided), and to review and manage abnormal labs. The length of the workday may vary depending on the number of admissions and the provider's working speed. Our providers typically arrive at the hospital at 7am and finish by 1pm, as long as all new admissions are seen and consults are followed up on.

We understand the importance of having a work-life balance and offer flexible work hours. Our providers do not manage psychiatric conditions, and we do not require on-call providers to return to the facility. Instead, we manage medical complaints (such as elevated blood pressure or cough) over the phone and follow up on patients in the morning.
