WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior Simulation & Software Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Simulation & Software Engineer to develop simulation environments, software integrations, and virtual validation solutions for autonomous and intelligent off-road machines. You will work on challenging customer projects where simulation is used to accelerate software development, system integration, testing, and validation. The role combines hands-on software engineering with simulation technologies and close collaboration with customer development teams.
As a consultant, you will help customers solve real engineering problems related to autonomy, machine control, sensor systems, and software quality by building practical simulation-driven development solutions. You will work on technologies that are transforming industries such as mining, construction, agriculture, logistics, and industrial automation. Your solutions will help customers develop autonomous and intelligent machines faster, safer, and with greater confidence.
What You Will Do
Develop simulation environments and supporting software for autonomous machine development
Implement integrations between vehicle software, simulators, sensors, middleware, and cloud services
Create simulation scenarios and validation setups for software testing and system verification
Develop tools for automated testing, data collection, result analysis, and regression validation
Support software integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis activities
Analyze simulation outputs and collaborate with customer engineering teams to identify issues and improvement opportunities
Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design
Work in multidisciplinary teams together with software engineers, architects, data specialists, and domain experts
Required Qualifications
Experience in software development using C++, Python, C#, or similar technologies
Strong understanding of software engineering practices and modern development workflows
Experience working in Linux-based development environments
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated development processes
Understanding of system integration and software interfaces
Ability to work independently in customer-facing consulting projects
Considered An Advantage
Experience with simulation technologies such as Unreal Engine, Unity, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, CARLA, or equivalent
Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, machine automation, or embedded software development
Knowledge of ROS/ROS2, DDS, CAN, MQTT, OPC UA, or similar technologies
Experience with sensor systems and sensor data processing
Understanding of verification, validation, and test automation practices
Experience with cloud-based simulation or digital twin solutions
