Our Partner is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join an established engineering team within a world-renowned precision engineering company. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming state of the art CNC Swiss lathes / Sliding Heads machines for the production of precision components for the Medical Technology and Aerospace sectors.
Role: CNC Programmer - Swiss Lathe
Overall Objective: As a key member of the Engineering team the CNC Programmer will program, tool & set up CNC Turning machines
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
CNC Turning Machines: Citizen
Responsibilities & Duties:
Programming for Swiss lathes machines from customer drawings
Selecting cutting tools, speeds & feeds, and advising on inspection methods
Achieving quality levels for products manufactured in the area
Introducing new components and achieving first article approval with customer
Machine and tooling preventive maintenance
Maintain health and safety standards for the area.
Promote continuous improvement on quality, cycle times and overall yield
Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ programming and setting machines (post any training or apprenticeship)
Experienced in programming directly from drawings and solid models
Offline programming of components using Fusion 369 package or similar
Familiar with above listed CNC Turning machines (or equivalent)
Broad range of experience in machining different materials
Experience in metal cutting and the latest tooling & cutter concepts
Precision machining to tolerance (10 microns)
Experience of high volume manufacturing and meeting production targets
Person/Skills Required:
Ability to perform under minimum direction
Positive and flexible approach to dealing with challenges
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within organisation
Relocation details:
The right candidate must be willing to relocate permanently to Ireland.
Traveling costs (potentially reimbursed by the employer)
2 weeks of accommodation covered by the employer..
