About the role

Aberdeen and Northern Marts, one of Scotland’s leading and most progressive auction companies are looking for Livestock Handlers to join their team at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.

Work will primarily be on our regular sales days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays) on a casual basis, however during our busy season the opportunity will exist for additional hours.

Job description:

This is a varied role involving livestock droving, dealing with the intake and sorting of livestock, moving livestock from pens to the sales ring. Certain jobs within the role will be based outside, in all types of weather and the role will be physically demanding.

Ongoing training and development will be provided.

Knowledge and skills:

· Experience of working with livestock

· Knowledge of animal welfare

· Awareness of Health and Safety

· An ability to work as part of a team
