Role Overview

Position: Product Definition Engineer 3

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Location: Bengaluru

You will serve as a senior functional expert, helping ensure product stability, smooth operations, and alignment between business, engineering, and product teams. The role focuses on problem-solving in post-production, analyzing functional cases, and shaping robust, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

Investigate and analyze issues to support solution design and resolution

Review and validate reported software issues; prioritize fixes collaboratively with engineering and QA teams

Provide clarity on business context, workflows, and requirements for development teams

Maintain accurate functional documentation and troubleshooting guides

Collaborate with Product Owners and Managers on requirements and solutions

Translate business needs into actionable technical insights, considering compliance and regulatory elements

Continuously assess and improve technical and manual processes

Use diagnostic tools (logs, analysis applications) to troubleshoot effectively

What We’re Looking For

Significant experience (typically 8+ years) as a Business Analyst or similar role

Strong domain understanding in finance, accounting, or expense management with ability to learn compliance requirements

Familiarity with Agile delivery practices (experience with SAFe is an advantage)

Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting languages; willingness to learn additional tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional, multicultural teams

Interest in leveraging new technologies, such as AI-driven tools, to improve efficiency

Adaptability, curiosity, and openness to continuous learning

Preferred but Not Required

Exposure to SaaS products, business travel, or complex software environments

Experience with tools such as Kibana, Splunk, VS Code or Eclipse, Postman, or SFTP clients
