Assistant Project Officer

Location – Strawberry Hills

Employment type – Temporary until June 2028

Salary – Grade 5/6 $102,936 - $113,579plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

In these roles you will assist in managing and implementing a range of projects across the Homes NSW, to support and improve service delivery and optimise outcomes in the portfolio performance and stakeholder relations.

What you’ll do

Assist in managing a range of projects to deliver initiatives to Homes NSW.

Manage and undertake operational aspects of project implementation, including monitoring projects, coordinating resources, and managing deliverables and tasks.

Assist with research and analysis to support the development of key projects across the Homes NSW.

Assist in managing projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery within Homes NSW.

What we’re looking for

This role is primarily based at Strawberry Hills

Understanding of project management practices.

Experience in Scoping vacant properties and managing end to end process

Ensure appropriate delivery of works and develop action plans to address

work issues when necessary.

Ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes, Housing Portfolio standards, policies and contract requirements when assigning work to contractors

Conduct timely, accurate inspections according to the program and standards, maintaining records of inspections and required actions

Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors to facilitate effective inspection and maintenance programs

Identify and resolve compliance issues in collaboration with contractors, issuing necessary notices when required

Tertiary qualifications in trade, building or engineering discipline’s and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

Current NSW driver’s license.
