Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks covering web, mobile, API, and Windows native applications for financial services platforms.
Build and enhance test automation suites using Micro Focus UFT, Playwright, Appium and Selenium to ensure comprehensive functional, regression, and integration test coverage.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and faster, more reliable release cycles.
Analyse test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues within financial applications.
Develop reusable, scalable automation frameworks and libraries to reduce manual testing effort and increase overall test coverage.
Write clean, maintainable automation code using Java, Python, VB or TypeScript, following established coding standards and best practices.
Participate in test planning, test case design, and risk-based test prioritization for critical financial industry applications.
Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and process improvements to increase automation efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
4-5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, with proven experience in the financial services or banking industry.
Strong hands-on expertise in Micro Focus UFT, Selenium, Appium and Playwright for automating web, mobile, API, and Windows native applications.
Coding proficiency in at least one of Python, or TypeScript.
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts, with experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or GitLab CI or GitHub Actions).
Solid understanding of API testing methodologies and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and clearly report defects.
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
