About the role

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning System Software package deliverables to downstream Teams to support Program milestones for HEV Programs.

Maintain and Create Feature Roll out plan (FROP) for the program and ensure they get planned by cross functional teams to make them available in upcoming Sprints to meet desired Timeline.

Plan and lead System HIL (Hardware in loop) Testing; Propulsion Safety Release, Requirement Validation; Vehicle Function and Feature Verification before releasing each ePT SW Package to Vehicle Custodians.

Support Calibration Workshops, hot and cold trips, Altitude trips as a lead from the team by aligning them with COEs, suppliers during the events. .

Provide necessary DTCs, DIDs plan to the implementation team for in-house SWs by coordinating them with Diagnostic, Calibration & EOL requirements teams.

Work with Launch center, Calibration and Chief Engineering team to address Software issues at Plant Fleet

Lead Powertrain issues through; FLA using CANalyzer, Assisting Second Level Analysis by studying the events in APTIV loggers and Re-create it on vehicle and HIL with INCA for the appropriate root-cause with the support of Implementation and System Teams.

Conduct daily touch points with Powertrain team for issues reported in multiple databases, like GIMS, PITS, IMS, PLM management tools and maintain tracking/report DVPM, for all System issues of the Electrified Powertrain Controllers.

Requirements:

Education: Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering or related field.

Experience: 7+ years in embedded software development & validation for automotive systems.

Model-Based Development: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow.

Communication Protocols: CAN, LIN; AUTOSAR architecture.

Tools: Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, vCDM; HIL simulators (dSPACE, INCA).

Strong understanding of automotive control systems

Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-Loop (SIL) testing.

Ability to work in Agile environments and manage cross-functional collaboration.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
