About the Role: QA Automation Engineer Co-op

We’re growing - and we’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer Co-op to join our Research & Development team from September-December 2026! In this role, you’ll help us maintain product quality by testing features before they are put into production , ensuring a low-defect experience that our customers love. You’ll collaborate closely with teammates across product and engineering, contribute to a high-trust environment , and play a direct role in shaping the future of the industry.

️ What You’ll Do

Here’s what you’ll do:

Assist in designing and documenting test plans and test cases for new and existing features based on requirements and specifications.

Execute manual, exploratory, system, functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing under the guidance of senior QA team members.

Document and report bugs, failures, and test results clearly and consistently, while supporting the investigation and re-testing of defects.

Learn and contribute to automated test scripts as opportunities arise.

Collaborate with developers and designers to understand features, flag potential issues, and help ensure the team meets acceptance criteria and QA standards.

Communicate testing status and findings to the team regularly to help support a positive customer experience.

What You Bring

Some of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Practical experience or coursework involving database-driven web application testing and software version control systems (Git).

Exposure to or hands-on experience with TypeScript and integration test frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.

A collaborative approach to software quality with excellent communication skills.

An innovative mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities effectively.

Comfort working independently and asynchronously, while also prioritizing collaboration and connection with people.

Compensation & Perks

We believe in paying our co-op students fairly for their contributions. Students earn a monthly salary, aligned with how many co-op work terms they have completed, in the range of $3,800 to $4,500 CAD per month.

Location

We are remote-first and this role is open to students in Ontario, who are available to attend onboarding for their first week and occasional in-office days at our headquarters in midtown Toronto.
