Sr. PM - Agency Custom Software / Web Development

We are a technology agency that designs, develops, and supports custom software applications and websites tailored to our clients' business needs. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive senior project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  Your primary role is to lead the day-to-day delivery and project execution for an 8–10-person custom software development team in alignment with client’s business needs. Additional responsibilities will include developing and implementing PM processes, mentoring project coordinators and junior PM’s. This is an in-office position.

Your primary duties will include:

Manage the day-to-day delivery and project execution for a 8–10-person custom software development team. Oversee other smaller projects as needed.

Serve as the primary liaison between client(s) and the internal team.

Ensure appropriate and effective communication among team members, clients and internal executives.

Collaborate with client(s) to develop and maintain ongoing quarterly plans.

Determine project milestones and actively measure project progress against milestones to ensure timely and successful completion.

Develop and maintain key project deliverables: project plans, scope documents, resource plans, communication plans, status reports, financial and risk management plans.

Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance in the completion of tasks and deliverables.

Continuously monitor projects with frequent reviews to identify risks and challenges and implement solutions or pivot strategies to optimize project efficiency.

Schedule and facilitate status meetings for active engagements. Capture meeting notes, issues, and action items. Participate in in-person meetings as required.

Mentor and coach other project managers / coordinators and team members.

Utilize project management tools to plan work activities, track progress, manage tasks and resource assignments, and communicate effectively with the team.

Provide strong attention to details to ensure accuracy of all deliverables. Review deliverables with clients for acceptance.

Build credibility and trust with the client(s) to ensure the solution meets their requirements while remaining within the approved budget.

Contribute to business development activities and assist the Sales team with estimating and delivering solutions to prospects.

Work with management to identify and champion opportunities for internal improvements and efficiencies.

Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and custom software and website development best practices.

Qualifications

Experience in managing a technology agency’s custom software / web development projects.

Ability to manage complex client portfolios and delivery schedules.

Strong leadership/team management skills: developers, clients, other project management resources.

Expert in creating, monitoring, and communicating project plans and statuses.

Adept at ensuring resources are planned and effectively utilized to meet project deadlines, budgets, and scopes.

Experience in leading client-facing meetings: agenda’s, documentation, and follow-through after meetings.

Capable of identifying and resolving project roadblocks, risks, and issues.

Excellent organization and communication skills.

Exposure to CMS solutions.

IMPORTANT This position reports to our Denver office. Applicants residing outside of the Denver area will not be considered.
