About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you support the Siemens Energy Global Sales organization in developing business opportunities for competitive and innovative surge arrester applications. Your focus lies on expanding market presence, identifying new customers, and initiating homologation processes to qualify our products for international markets.

Your responsibilities include promoting our solutions and technical expertise, assessing market capacities and customer requirements, shaping go-to-market strategies, and overseeing order intake activities. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy throughout the bidding, offer, and order execution process.

Furthermore, you lead the bid management process and establish the foundation for the successful execution of future business opportunities. You consult with customers to understand their specific needs and adapt our proposals accordingly, ensuring that our offerings meet market requirements and deliver maximum value.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Development of customer-specific technical solutions based on specifications in close collaboration with engineering and technical departments

Management of international technical clarifications and customer support activities as the primary point of contact

Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Factory Planning, and Quality Management to ensure and continuously improve customer satisfaction

Customer and market development, including engagement with end users, resellers, and agents, contract negotiations, presentations, training sessions, qualification processes, and FATs

Business growth and market expansion through new customer acquisition, business development initiatives, market penetration, and implementation of growth strategies

Management of homologation and innovation activities, including product qualification for target markets, market-entry support, and identification of innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness and effectiveness

What You Bring

Academic qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, combined with a strong technical understanding of high-voltage products

Professional experience in Technical Sales, R&D, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) within the energy industry

Results-oriented teamwork and proactive mindset, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and business success

Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, enabling effective interaction across all organizational levels

Professional language proficiency in English, with German and additional foreign language skills considered an advantage

Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, including proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and willingness to undertake international business travel
