Job Description – Product Owner (Developer Experience & Platform Engineering)

Role: Product Owner – Developer Experience (TecD)

Experience: 5–7 Years

Location: Bangalore, India

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Product Owner to lead the Developer Experience (TecD) portfolio within our Helios Cloud Ecosystem. The role is responsible for managing the roadmap, backlog, and delivery of engineering productivity tools that enable hundreds of developers and application teams across the organization.

You will work closely with engineering teams, platform architects, product managers, customers, and external vendors to continuously improve the developer experience by providing scalable, secure, and efficient tooling services.

The ideal candidate combines Agile product ownership with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience practices.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

1. Own and manage the product backlog for the Developer Experience (TecD) portfolio.

2. Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and quarterly objectives.

3. Gather business and technical requirements from internal application teams.

4. Prioritize features, enhancements, technical debt, and operational improvements based on business value.

5. Create and maintain user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

6. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of roadmap items.

Stakeholder Management

1. Act as the primary interface between platform engineering teams and internal customers.

2. Collaborate with architects, engineering managers, security teams, and vendors.

3. Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

4. Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product progress regularly.

Platform & Developer Experience

Own and continuously improve services related to developer productivity tools including:

SonarCloud

ArgoCD

PactFlow

LaunchDarkly

Internal AI Engineering Tools

Jira

Confluence

Other SDLC and DevOps tooling within the AWS Platform ecosystem

Qualifikationen

Required Skills

1. 5–7 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Technical Product Management.

2. Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

3. Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.

4. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

5. Experience managing technical products or internal engineering platforms.

6. Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and Platform Engineering concepts.

7. Strong analytical and prioritization skills.

8. Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
