We are currently seeking a Sr. Java Developer (FTE / Hybrid / Onsite Interview) to join our team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (US-PA), United States (US).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be a strong ‘utility’ type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel

Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process

Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensure the functionality matches the requirements

Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle, coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members

Provide technical support to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs

Interact with architects, technical leads, team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues.

Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating development and testing processes

Demonstrated a commitment to quality, writing unit tests with Junit and Mockito

Proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of Java applications and Microservices

A desire to continue to learn and pick up new technologies and skills

Good to Have

Experience with container-based deployments such as Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, Vagrant is a plus

Understand Asynchronous and Synchronous messaging. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, MDBs

Work experience with any of the following – PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Linux/UNIX Shell Programming, Python is a plus

Work experience in developing Web Applications with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap is a plus

A minimum of 2 years’ work experience within Financial Services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing is preferred

Basic Qualification :

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or applicable programming area of study

Experience :

5+ years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation

5+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot.

5+ years of experience in Database access methods and SQL constructs

3+ years of experience with Build Deployment tools such as Maven, GIT, Terraform a plus
