Job Description
Why we need you
We are looking for a VFX Team Lead to strengthen the Art team on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
In this role, you will play a key part in structuring and driving the production of visual effects by bringing clarity, prioritization, and organization to a complex and constantly evolving production environment.
Beyond supporting the team on a daily basis, you will be responsible for organizing production, prioritizing work alongside an Associate Producer, and ensuring that VFX assets are delivered on time and at the expected level of quality.
This position requires excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as a strong artistic eye.
What you'll do
Team Management & Leadership
Lead, support, and inspire the FX team on a daily basis
Manage team performance and support individual development
Bring structure, consistency, and efficiency to team processes
Mentor team members and foster their professional growth
Oversee team staffing, including planning, recruitment, and mitigation strategies
Production
Working closely with the Associate Lead Artist and the Technical Director, you will :
Understand production pipeline challenges and contribute to pipeline improvements and optimizations alongside the Technical Director
Organize production, prioritize work, and ensure deadlines are met
Act as an ambassador for the FX department within the project and support production decisions
Coordinate outsourcing efforts and manage relationships with external partners when required
Nice to have
Art Direction Support
Act as a trusted partner to the Art Director, able to discuss, challenge, and help shape artistic decisions
Help categorize assets according to production priorities and constraints
Qualifications
What we're looking for
Key qualifications
Proven experience as an Art Team Lead on large-scale AAA productions.
Strong understanding of AAA game development pipelines
Solid experience in team leadership and people management
