About the role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to be part of our Network & Security Platform Services, Technology & Communication Services Command. The Senior Network Engineer provides high-level network engineering support for a diverse range of data and communications network infrastructure, including core networks, and remote site connectivity. This involves overseeing the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of NSWPF network and performance.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-grade network solutions across NSWPF sites. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation program, delivering secure, resilient, and future-ready network and security platforms that support frontline policing.
About the Role
As part of the Critical Network Program (running through to June 203, you will collaborate across multiple commands, gaining exposure to diverse challenges and innovative solutions. You will contribute to business-critical initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and public safety.
This role sits within the Modern Audio-Visual Services project stream and plays a vital role in delivering high-performing, integrated communication and collaboration technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, deployment, and support of complex network infrastructure across core and remote environments
Deliver high-level engineering support for data and communications networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Oversee installation, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of network services
Design, implement, and support enterprise video conferencing and AV solutions
Deploy and test data, voice, teleconferencing, and Wi-Fi networks across multiple sites
Administer and optimise Microsoft Teams environments
Provide advanced (CCNP-level) troubleshooting and operational support
Ensure network security, scalability, and resilience across all platforms
Manage end-to-end delivery including installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and documentation
Travel as required to support multi-site deployments
About You
You are a highly skilled network engineer with strong experience in both infrastructure and collaboration technologies. You bring:
Expertise in configuring Microsoft Teams and Webex platforms front and backend.
Experience with Cisco networking, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and Crestron AV solutions
Strong understanding of network architecture, topology, and AV solution design
Proven experience delivering AV and network projects end-to-end
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capability (CCNP-level or equivalent)
A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
