We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Operations Supervisor (AVOS) to lead the oversight and management of autonomous vehicle fleets within our innovative transportation network. Responsibilities
Supervise the daily operations of autonomous vehicle fleets, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across multiple routes.
Coordinate dispatching activities using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
Monitor vehicle performance using GPS, GIS mapping, and fleet management tools to optimize routing and reduce delays.
Manage communication channels including multi-line phone systems, ensuring prompt responses to operational inquiries and issue resolution.
Oversee freight handling, shipping & receiving processes, and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Conduct analysis of operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements in transportation planning and supply chain logistics.
Maintain detailed records of vehicle movements, incidents, dispatch logs, and data entry tasks related to transportation management systems like AS400 and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), warehouse teams, and drivers to coordinate shipments efficiently.
Handle phone call management with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills during interactions with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
Proven experience in transportation planning, logistics, or fleet management roles involving autonomous or conventional vehicles.
Strong analysis skills with proficiency in GIS, GPS tracking, Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 systems.
Familiarity with supply chain processes including freight movement, shipping & receiving, and 3PL coordination.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills - both verbal and written - with a focus on clear dispatching instructions and professional phone etiquette.
Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently.
Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), fleet management tools, logistics software, and shipping regulations is highly desirable.
Ability to analyze operational data for continuous improvement initiatives within transportation operations.
