Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Operations Supervisor (AVOS) to lead the day-to-day management of autonomous vehicle fleets and ensure seamless integration with our logistics and transportation systems. In this pivotal role, you will oversee vehicle deployment, monitor operational performance, coordinate dispatching activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize autonomous vehicle operations. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and reliability in our autonomous transportation initiatives, supporting supply chain excellence and innovative mobility solutions.
Duties
Supervise the deployment, routing, and scheduling of autonomous vehicles within designated operational zones.
Monitor vehicle performance using advanced transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS/GIS technologies to ensure optimal operation.
Coordinate dispatching activities for freight pickup and delivery, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
Manage communication channels including multi-line phone systems and SyteLine to facilitate real-time updates and issue resolution.
Oversee data entry related to vehicle logs, shipping & receiving records, and fleet management documentation using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and AS400 systems.
Collaborate with supply chain partners, 3PL providers, and internal teams to streamline logistics workflows and improve transportation planning.
Conduct analysis of operational data to identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and enhance overall efficiency in autonomous vehicle operations.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, transportation regulations, and company policies during all phases of vehicle operation.
Skills
Strong understanding of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS navigation, and transportation planning tools.
Experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), SyteLine, and AS400.
Knowledge of logistics, freight management, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management practices.
Excellent analysis skills to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights.
Proficiency in dispatching procedures for freight movement within complex supply chains.
Effective phone call management skills including phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems handling, and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
