About the role
Test Automation Engineer
Description
Design / Build custom test fixtures and tools
Design / Implement test automation infrastructure
Create test plan, that flushes out test strategy, coverage requirements, test scenarios and the resource needs for a project. Review test plans with cross functional team (Development and other Test Engineers) to ensure proper coverage for each feature / product.
Create test scripts that meet the team definition of done
Run automated regressions, review failures, make adjustment to scripts as needed.
Troubleshoot and Maintain existing test fixtures. Includes debugging hardware and software
Able to work in Software verification, System / Product Verification or Solution Verification
Work with cross functional agile teams located at multiple Honeywell locations around the globe
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
Experience in embedded software development
Proficiency in programming languages such as C or C++
WE VALUE
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience with hardware and software integration
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
2 to 3 Years of experience in Embedded product testing and validation
1-2 years’ Experience with Object Oriented programming
Python Scripting
C++/C#
Experience with software management tools ( SVN, GIT, Bitbucket, etc. )
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Able to adapt and solve problems in an unstructured environment, with minimal supervision
Preferred - Experience with Embedded Systems (testing or developing)
Preferred – Electric Metering Experience ( ANSI, C12.22, DLMS)
Preferred – Network Communication (Cellular, IPv4, IPv6, NBiOT, RF )
Preferred – PC troubleshooting / maintenance experience
Preferred – Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools ( Jira, Rally, etc. )
Preferred – Hardware test, design, or debug experience. Ability to solder
Preferred – Willing to work as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Team Lead
