The Digital S/W Engineer Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Job Description – C12 | Solution Analyst, Alerts & Communications Domain

Responsibilities

Act as a Solution Analyst for the Alerts and Communications domain, taking ownership of solution design across multiple regions and business lines, including CPB (Citi Private Bank) and CGCPC.

Analyze business and functional requirements to design scalable, robust alerts and communications solutions aligned with regional and segment-specific needs.

Lead end-to-end solution design for notification frameworks, alert distribution channels, and communication workflows across digital and non-digital platforms.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to translate domain requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.

Ensure solutions are designed with regional compliance, data privacy, and regulatory considerations in mind across all target geographies.

Drive consistency in solution patterns across CPB and CGCPC, while accommodating business-line-specific customizations where required.

Partner with architecture and engineering teams to validate feasibility, scalability, and alignment with Citi's enterprise architecture standards.

Support the development lifecycle by providing solution guidance, clarifying requirements, and participating in design and code reviews.

Maintain and govern solution documentation, including design artifacts, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications.

Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies early in the design phase and work proactively with stakeholders to resolve them.

Contribute to roadmap planning by providing domain expertise and solution recommendations for future enhancements.

Engage with global and regional teams to ensure seamless delivery of alerts and communications capabilities across all supported markets.

Required Qualifications

10–12 years of experience in solution analysis, business analysis, or application design within large-scale enterprise financial services environments.

Strong understanding of Alerts and Communications domain concepts, including notification frameworks, event-driven communication, and multi-channel delivery (email, SMS, push, in-app).

Demonstrated experience designing solutions for multiple business segments and regions, with sensitivity to regulatory and compliance variation.

Experience working with or designing solutions for private banking or wealth management platforms (CPB) and/or consumer/retail banking platforms (CGCPC) is highly desirable.

Strong ability to produce clear solution design documentation, including functional specs, process flows, and integration diagrams.

Solid understanding of API-driven integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, architecture, engineering, and QA in an agile delivery model.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complexity across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business and technology stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

Familiarity with Citi's technology ecosystem, including internal platforms used for client communications and alerting.

Experience with multi-region solution rollouts, including localisation and regional configuration management.

Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, MAS, CCPA) as they relate to client communications.

Exposure to messaging platforms, event streaming tools (e.g., Kafka), or notification service providers.
