Purpose & Role Context

As HR Business Partner France, you will be a trusted strategic advisor to the French Leadership Team, enabling business performance through a strong, forward-looking people and culture agenda. Reporting directly to the Country Manager France, you will operate at leadership level, shaping decisions on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent strategy, and culture across the organization. As the leader of the France HR function, you will ensure strategic alignment between regional (EMEA) and global HR priorities and local business needs, market context and legal requirements.

This role is designed for an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives in influencing senior leaders, guiding complex people decisions, and translating business strategy into sustainable organizational outcomes.

The Role

In this role, you will:

Act as the primary strategic HR partner to the France Leadership Team, advising on organizational, leadership, talent, and culture-related decisions.

Translate business strategy, market dynamics, and organizational challenges into a clear and impactful people agenda.

Coach, challenge, and support senior leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, team performance, and decision-making.

Shape and steer key people priorities across France, including workforce strategy, talent and succession planning, performance management, and engagement.

Play a leading role in organizational change and transformation initiatives, supporting business evolution and cultural development.

Ensure alignment between local business needs and regional/global HR strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.

Sponsor and guide strategic HR initiatives and projects across France, working closely with the Centres of Expertise (CoEs).

Use data, insights, and external benchmarks to inform leadership discussions and anticipate future organizational and capability needs.

Foster strong collaboration across HR and with key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and high-quality leadership and employee experience.

Managing employee representative bodies and overseeing projects relating to collective agreements with employee representatives and trade unions.

Your Profile

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Extensive experience as senior HR Business Partner, operating at leadership-team level in a multinational environment within a French organisation.

Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and challenge senior leaders with credibility and impact.

Strong expertise across strategic HR disciplines, including organizational design, talent and succession planning, leadership development, and change management.

Proven experience in managing a matrix of business and functional (HR) stakeholders across various countries and seniority levels, Works Councils and Unions.

Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect people-related decisions to commercial and operational outcomes.

Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and make sound judgments with incomplete information.

Experience in leading organizational /cultural transformation

Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken.

Additional strengths:

Experience supporting a regional or multi-country scope.

Exposure to business roles outside of HR (e.g. general management, sales, or marketing).
