The Sales Manager (Channel) is responsible for motivating and coaching a team of Channel Account Managers, ensuring that they exceed quota in sales on a consistent basis and that the territory they manage delivers its revenue goal for the month, quarter and year. This position will own their own pipeline while acting as a mentor to sales reps to exceed their monthly sales quota by targeting Net New business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Mentor and coach a team of Channel Account Managers to develop a strong and effective sales team
Monitor the statistics for the Channel Account Managers within the assigned territory and identify any discrepancies in reporting
Support Channel Account Managers by assisting with partner negotiations, objections and closing
Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management
Identify areas of improvement and suggest training to increase production
Be the first line of support to teams to answer questions and direct on best practices
Ensure channel partners are enabled and engaged in selling and deploying KnowBe4 with their clients in order to maximize revenue yield per partner
Understand the organizational structure of assigned partners and how to saturate each
Identify and qualify prospective partners who engage and can resell the KnowBe4 product to their customer base and are a good fit for KnowBe4's global partner program
Educate prospective and current partners on the partner program, requirements and deliverables
Build company credibility, brand value, and trust with your partners and their prospective customers
Prioritize workload and direct the activities of the Channel Account Managers
Work with partners to help them develop a marketing plan with clear objectives, for our mutual success
Utilize marketing content, campaigns, etc. to provide communications to partners about KnowBe4 products, programs, offers, and promotions
Meet assigned targets for monthly sales volume requirements and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts by adding new customers & resellers within territory and maintaining a healthy pipeline/accurate forecasting
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts
Be proactive in assessments, clarifications, and validating partner needs on an ongoing basis
Be proactive in providing partner feedback that can be utilized for future product enhancements and product development
Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements
Drive adoption of new partner programs among assigned partners
Hire, promote, discipline, and terminate subordinate employees, or suggest and recommend hiring, promoting, disciplining, and terminating subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience as a Channel Account Manager
Experience with Salesforce preferred
Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Must be able to demonstrate sales aptitude while being assertive, persistent, consultative, and comfortable working in a highly results oriented company
Excellent verbal and written communications
Excellent time management and organization skills
Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
Strong analytical, strategic mindset, and negotiation skills
Persuasive communication skills accompanied with the ability to gain a quick understanding of the needs and pain points of channel partners
