About the role

The Senior Project Officer, Support to Comply leads the delivery of the Support to Comply - Extending Benefits project, overseeing the design, development and implementation of guidance, policies and procedures for industry and regulators. This Senior Project Officer supports Resources Victoria’s transition to a duty-based framework under the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Amendment Act 2023.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information in clear, practical and user-focused guidance, and to lead the development and quality of communication materials.

Sound understanding of government processes, policy development and regulatory frameworks with demonstrated ability to interpret legislation into operational guidance and procedures.

Experience developing guidance or operational materials, ideally in a regulatory or reform environment.

A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, public policy, regulatory policy or strategic communications would be well regarded.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 March 2027. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
