Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Ensure Equipment, Fixture and Toolings are calibrated before their due date, according to current DOP to assure any Equipment, Fixture or Tooling are available for manufacturing or inspection of any accessories or products manufactured on the site.

Executes Preventive Maintenance on time and according to SAP and/or Agile system.

The PMC technician is the primary contact for servicing or repairing equipment within the activities described on the PMC form. If repair needs require revalidation for tasks beyond the PMC format, then the Equipment Engineering will be responsible to follow up the service or repair needed.

Reports any equipment or fixture with low productivity to be evaluated or fixed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Safety:

Follows GMPs and wears safety equipment to perform his/her endeavors

Participates on Safety commission when required and/or safety training

Utilize the correct tooling and equipment according to process or PMC requirement, reporting any condition of wear off or damaged tooling or equipment

Escalates any safety issues with supervisor or manager

Follows 5S methodology on his areas

Reports any safety device on equipment that is fault or is suspicious of been damaged

Quality:

Performs PM or Calibration before it expires (due date) and records it’s results on SAP

Utilize raw materials (when required) to check equipment, fixture or tooling performance

Follow up / fulfil EE’s to be loaded into SAP system after PM or Calibration during unplanned PM or Calibration

Document and execute LOTO process during OOT events

Records Asset on SAP and label it, for any EFT after PM or Calibration is performed

Performs and records PM to equipment, fixture or tooling on any top level EFT and peripheral assets of such EFT

Efficiency:

Provide support to external calibration services or suppliers explaining requirements or issues with EFTs under service or calibration

Requires ECOs to Engineering Department or QO Engineer to update or modify any PMC document that not comply current PMC activities or equipment use

Update files with daily activities

Lead or participates on Continuous Improvement projects, kaizen or just do it events

Creates purchasing request (PR’s) for spare parts

Escalates excessive consumption of spare parts

Cost:

Sustain and maintain measurement equipment and tooling under his/her responsibility or ISI Property

Calculate spare parts over consumption due to uptime improvements or production incremental in number of cycles per equipment or more production lines

People:

Study and records all assigned curriculum by ISU (Intuitive Surgical University)

Creates self evaluation for CIP and MERIT

Follows ISI Politic, Rules and code of conduct

Provide support to production and/or Engineering during equipment and/or process validation

Productivity:

Review and complete PM to EFT (Equipment, Fixture or Tool) before it’s due date in SAP

Realize PM or Calibration following EFT documentation in Agile

Supports unplanned PM documenting on EE

Comply with PM’s and calibrations required on daily bases and defined cycle time

A minimum of 6 months after certification at the current level and at least 90% of the knowledge of the next level plus without disciplinary actions are required to be promoted to PMC technician II.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

School Level:

Technical studies, Professional studies or Professional studies for at least 2 years

Languages:

English 40% Written, reading, understanding -30% Speaking-

Systems knowledge:

Microsoft office intermediate

SAP intermediate

SolidWorks basic – Desirable -

Labor Experience:

Preventive Maintenance 1 year

Mechanical Engineer or similar – No experience required

Skills:

Use of instrumentation and measurement equipment 1 year

Understanding of equipment and drawings blue prints

Basic electronic knowledge

Diagnosis and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment 6 months

La compensación se basará principalmente en el nivel del puesto en el que se cubra el rol y en las cualificaciones del candidato o la candidata, de conformidad con la legislación aplicable.
