About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Build & Release Engineer to help us modernize our delivery, integration, testing, and deployment processes. This position is essential for advancing the implementation of our next-generation platform solutions (GRID MODERNIZATION) further.

As a key contributor, you will mainly be responsible for designing, delivering, and deploying Kubernetes-based platform solutions, ensuring seamless integration for our GridOS technologies. This requires a highly motivated and skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be someone with a hybrid developer/sysadmin background who is comfortable with Linux and Windows environments. Skilled in innovating, developing, and maintaining build & configuration management. Must be comfortable working with customers to deliver our Kubernetes-based solutions. Contributes to the team and able to work independently.

Work with the services and technology teams to define and implement CI/CD best practices and evolving the standardization of deployments

Help the team mature our automated deployment and container utilization strategies to improve customer deliveries

Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks

Increase task level and ability to take on multiple projects at one time

Demonstrated expertise with various configuration management, build management and continuous integration tools and methodologies

Strong background with SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques

Work with both internal and external customers to deliver and deploy Kubernetes for our next-generation solutions

Willingness to work across products lines for solution integrations

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering +

A minimum of 3 years of industry experience

Must have 3+ years’ experience in Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related tooling

3 years' experience Shell, Python, UNIX/LINUX, scripting

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to travel (if travel is required) – 15%

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

3-4 years of experience in supporting industry standard core CI/CD infrastructure components: Nexus/Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, Code Coverage tools, Security tools etc.

Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SLQ)

Solid understanding of computer networking

Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills and approach

Proficiency in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of one or more server operating system families (Linux, Windows)

Automation/DevOps experience is a MUST

Experience building and implementing CI/CD pipelines

Familiar with AWS technology and methodologies

Understands the importance of Build and Release as part of development life cycle and with reference to continuous integration process. Fully understands the importance of different software environments like Development, QA, and Production

EMS and/or ADMS experience

Experience supporting customers both remotely and in-person

Business Acumen:

Displays understanding of the project’s value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer

Understands how the business solves the problem in specific domain areas using the technology. (Ex: Energy Management domain)

Additional Information

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
