Title: Design Engineer – Installation Equipment

Location: PEM Galway

Department: Haeger / PEMSerter Reporting to: Engineering Team Lead, Haeger EU

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 3 - 5 years’ experience, with a strong focus on SolidWorks (CAD/CAM) and project management, within a manufacturing or tooling environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and development of PEMSERTER® In-Die tooling and systems

· Design of manual and automated installation tooling (Haeger and PEMSerter)

· Project management of multiple tooling projects from concept through to delivery, including:

-Data evaluation, costing and quoting

- Tool design and die review

- Managing manufacture, assembly, testing and dispatch

-Supporting installation and commissioning

· Creation and modification of technical drawings and documentation

· Cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, engineering and customers

· Support customer engagements, including virtual project evaluations

· Maintain BOMs, routers and product data in internal systems

· Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Key Requirements:

· 3 – 5 years relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing or mechanical design

· Strong proficiency in Solidworks (CAD/CAM)

· Proven project management experience, managing multiple projects simultaneously

· Engineering qualification (discipline flexible)

· Strong mechanical engineering aptitude (electrical knowledge advantageous)

· Experience in CNC and/or press shop environments is beneficial

· Strong communication skills (internal and customer-facing)

· High level of organisation, accuracy, and ability to work independently

· Willingness to travel within Europe at short notice
