Senior Sitecore Front-End Developer
Type: Full-time · Location: [Canberra / Remote - Australia] · Eligibility: Australian citizen + Baseline clearance (or ability to obtain)
Role
Lead front-end development for Sitecore CMS (XP/SXA) implementations, building accessible, performant, responsive components and templates. Translate designs into production-ready UI and set front-end standards across the team.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain Sitecore SXA components, Scriban templates, and Razor views
Develop responsive, cross-browser HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript
Implement designs from Figma to pixel-accurate, accessible UI
Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance
Optimise front-end performance (Core Web Vitals, load times)
Integrate front-end with Sitecore data sources, placeholders, and rendering variants
Establish and enforce coding standards, component patterns, and reusable libraries
Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, BAs, and content authors
Code review, mentor junior developers, and support release delivery
Essential
Senior-level Sitecore experience (XP, XM, or SXA)
Strong HTML5, SCSS/CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Sitecore SXA, Scriban, and rendering variants
Responsive design and cross-browser development
WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility
Front-end performance optimisation
Git and CI/CD workflows
Australian citizen with current Baseline clearance
Desirable
Helix architecture and Sitecore Content Serialization
Solr search integration
Azure-hosted Sitecore environments
Build tooling (Webpack, Vite, npm)
Component/design-system experience
Agile/Scrum delivery
