About the role
The Analytics, Investment Optimization and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team – a part of Global Commercial Services Marketing group within American Express – is the analytical engine that enables the Global Commercial Card & Non-Card business. This role, based out of Gurugram, will be a part of the AIM team and will be responsible for Global Commercial Beyond Card Analytics. The team is responsible for cross-sell and engagement analytics for beyond card products across the SME and MM segment. The incumbent would be responsible for analytics solutions that would shape customer acquisitions and organic growth roadmap. The role requires a strong background in data analytics and commercial card knowledge. The position is part of a highly collaborative environment, interacting with and influencing partners across the Global Commercial Service’s business at American Express.
Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics).
2-3 years of professional work experience in Data Science and Analytics domain
Experience building ML models like XGBoost, K-Means, etc with proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, or similar; knowledge of digital analytics or experimentation frameworks is a plus.
Strong analytical/conceptual thinking acumen to solve unstructured and complex business problems
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on GenAI experience with background in Prompt Engineering, RAG architectures to solve business problems
Experience in digital marketing analytics, personalization, website optimization, or acquisition strategy.
Familiarity and interest in applying emerging AI and Gen AI capabilities to improve digital targeting outcomes.
Experience in large data processing and handling; and basic understanding of data science: XGBoost, decision trees, regression modeling, etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence partners and drive action.
