Overview:
This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in New York. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule are three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the Sr. Human Resources Manager and HR Centers of Excellence. This role will be responsible for deploying policies and programs for onboarding, offboarding, compensation, engagement, employee retention, recognition, and employee development. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively. This role will exhibit discretion, strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:
Business Acumen & HR Expertise:
Supports basic workforce planning including workforce analysis and forecasting.
Tracks key metrics within business (e.g., turnover, open positions, etc.)
Participates in collaborating with cross- functional partners to accomplish shared business objectives.
Executes change management within business support areas.
Supports basic HR administration and executes tasks such as new hire onboarding, processing paperwork, employee data entry, etc.
Support performance management and employee development efforts in partnership with managers
Provide HR guidance and triage employee concerns, partnering with HR Managers to address more complex employee relations matters
Relationship & Interpersonal:
Establishes a broad base of relationships to provide support at various levels of team members and leaders.
Exhibits tact and diplomacy to communicate ideas in a concise and logical way.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally along with being able to tailor messages to different audiences.
Support promoting culture of collaboration, belonging and engagement.
Influencing & Consulting:
Interprets and advise on basic HR issues (i.e. Employee Relations, Policies, etc.).
Provides data and insights to support conversations driving people processes such as Performance Management, Engagement, etc.
Supports execution of strategic plans to address workplace environment and retention issues.
Talent Planning & Risk Management:
Execute transactional tasks including sharing updated org charts, assessment reporting and data to support story telling.
Supports drafting requisitions/ descriptions to ensure a smooth process with job posting & functional leader meetings.
Anticipate support needed for talent planning discussions with functional leaders
People Analytics:
Collects and verifies employee data for reporting and analysis.
Prepare basic reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, demographic metrics) using HR Systems.
Responds to ad hoc data requests from managers and HR leaders.
Ensures data integrity by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline
Minimum of 3 years of HR experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Significant exposure to HRIS systems. Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, Kronos, and Success Factors a plus
Strong analytical skills and experience with HR data reporting and analysis
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Ability to prioritize; must have strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills
Passion for delivering results through people
Ability to demonstrate high levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of team members
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $67000 - $80,000 /yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
