About the role

The L2 Network Engineer - AL role is a Level 2 Network Operations Center Engineer dedicated to Air Liquide operations.

This position is responsible for the technical execution of incident, change, and problem management across the NOC scope, including technologies such as wireless, connectivity, LAN, WAN, DMVPN, and SD-WAN.

The L2 engineer acts as the key technical bridge between L1 operations and L3 experts by:

Supporting L1 teams in deeper technical investigations and troubleshooting

Taking ownership of complex network issues requiring L2 expertise

Escalating to L3 when advanced analysis, vendor support, or design-level intervention is required

The role ensures service continuity, rapid restoration, and operational excellence through structured troubleshooting, proactive coordination, and adherence to operational processes and SLAs.

About you

You are a proactive and reliable NOC Engineer with a strong operational mindset and a passion for solving network issues efficiently. You are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and persistent in troubleshooting, always aiming to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

Main Characteristics:

1. Analytical and methodical in incident investigation and resolution

2. Curious and eager to learn, with continuous improvement mindset

3. Calm under pressure, able to prioritize during major incidents

4. Strong team player, collaborating effectively with L1, L2, and L3 teams

5. Clear communicator, capable of documenting actions and updates with precision

6. Customer-oriented, focused on service quality and SLA commitment

Required Qualifications:

1. Fluent English (spoken and written)

2. Good Spanish (spoken and written)

3. CCNA certification (mandatory)

Nice to Have:

Any advanced networking certification (or equivalent level), such as:

1. Cisco CCNP

2. Fortinet NSE

3. Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS

4. Aruba, Palo Alto, or similar vendor certifications

5. Hands-on experience with enterprise technologies such as LAN/WAN, Wireless, DMVPN, and SD-WAN
