What We Are Looking For

We`re looking for an exceptional Finance Director - Operations & Investment to join our senior leadership team at a pivotal time for the organisation.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Finance & Investment Officer, you`ll provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio that spans finance operations, development finance, procurement, asset sales, fleet and facilities. You`ll help shape how we deliver today while building the financial resilience to invest for tomorrow.

This is a role for a leader who thrives on pace, complexity and improvement. You`ll oversee critical operational finance functions, strengthen financial controls, drive performance and lead teams that support the delivery of excellent customer services. You`ll also take ownership of the financial performance of our development programme and asset sales, ensuring robust governance, commercial insight and effective delivery across a significant investment portfolio.

About You

You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or bring equivalent senior-level experience, with a strong track record of leading operational finance within a complex organisation. You will combine technical credibility with commercial acumen and be equally comfortable influencing executive colleagues as you are leading large operational teams.

You will bring:

Significant leadership experience across operational finance and financial management.

A proven ability to improve financial performance, governance and operational delivery.

Experience of leading high-performing teams through change and continuous improvement.

Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence at Board and Executive level.

A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style focused on delivering outcomes for customers and the organisation.

Experience within housing or another regulated, customer-focused environment would be advantageous, but we`re equally interested in leaders who can demonstrate transferable expertise, strategic thinking and a passion for making a difference
