Job Description:
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting financial reporting and analysis activities across the Treasury Team. Responsibilities will include reporting and analysis of North American bank fees, Treasury transactional metrics, and cash deposits. In addition, the role will be actively involved in the implementation of new processes and technologies to enhance and streamline our bank fee reporting and analytical capabilities. Other responsibilities include generating regular monthly and ad-hoc reporting for Treasury management and other users within Sun Life.

Qualifications
Chartered Accountant/MBA/Any post-graduation degree
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other Finance related area
Responsibilities
Analyze data related to bank fees and generate reports for management use. Identify and investigate fee variances and develop recommendations related to savings opportunities
Support the ongoing implementation and expansion of bank fee reporting tools and related analytical processes
Compile monthly ABM transactional metrics and generate reporting to facilitate chargebacks. Support business unit inquiries related to chargeback information and variances.
Generate other recurring and ad-hoc Treasury reports as required
Support the Bank Balance Collection process by collecting weekly bank balance information, following up with relevant teams as needed, and updating the consolidated file for management review.
Support Treasury expense budgeting and forecasting by preparing volume demand templates, coordinating input from business partners, and consolidating information required for planning.
Prepare the US monthly bank fee accrual
Payments Canada reporting by completing Form D3 – Clearing Arrangement Attestation and Reporting
Support price increase reviews by comparing new pricing against existing pricing, identifying variances, and assisting with quantifying the related financial impact.
Assist with bank fee benchmarking by gathering and comparing relevant fee information to support the assessment of fee increases and overall fee competitiveness.
Assist with quarterly Treasury reporting by gathering and consolidating data on bank fees, transaction volumes, interest earned, interest rates, and credit card transactions and fees.
