Job Summary
The Trade Compliance Associate Analyst is responsible for preparing and validating Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists (CIPL) for international shipments. The role ensures timely and accurate documentation to support customs clearance, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Management
Generate Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists (CIPL) for export and import shipments.
Verify shipment details, product descriptions, quantities, values, Incoterms, and country of origin.
Ensure all shipping documents comply with customer and customs requirements.
Customs & Compliance Support
Coordinate with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and Internal Stakeholders.
Ensure documentation is available before shipment arrival to avoid customs delays.
Maintain compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Shipment Coordination
Track shipment status and prioritize urgent CIPL requests.
Support Europe, USA, South Africa, APAC, and other regional projects as required.
Work closely with Booking, Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams.
Data Accuracy & Reporting
Maintain shipment records and documentation databases.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
Monitor pending CIPL backlog and ensure timely closure.
Customer Support
Respond to customer queries related to shipment documentation.
Support escalation management and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in Logistics, Export Documentation, or Trade Compliance.
Knowledge of Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, HS Codes, and Customs Documentation.
Required Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of international shipping and customs processes.
