Job Summary

The Product Lead – MES, WMS, WCS & Industrial IoT is accountable for the successful delivery, product ownership, and continuous evolution of SAESL’s shopfloor digital platforms. The role will lead the implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), and Industrial IoT ecosystem, delivering an integrated digital manufacturing environment connected end-to-end with SAP S/4HANA.

The primary objective of this role is to successfully deliver the MES programme, together with the implementation of WMS, WCS, and Industrial IoT integration, enabling a connected, data-driven, and intelligent aerospace MRO operation. Following implementation, the role is responsible for product strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous optimisation to maximise business value.

Job Responsibilities

1. Transformation Programme Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programmes, ensuring operational readiness and successful go-live.

Drive the implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), and Industrial IoT capabilities to support warehouse automation and smart manufacturing initiatives.

Deliver seamless integration across MES, WMS, WCS, Industrial IoT platforms, and SAP S/4HANA.

Develop and execute comprehensive programme plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, and governance.

Lead testing, deployment, cutover, hypercare, and transition-to-support activities to ensure successful programme delivery.

Manage programme governance, reporting, risk escalation, and executive stakeholder communications.

2. Product Ownership & Product Management

Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for MES, WMS, WCS, and Industrial IoT platforms.

Prioritise product features, enhancements, and business requirements based on strategic value and operational impact.

Manage and maintain the product backlog, release roadmap, and product lifecycle.

Balance business priorities, technical debt, platform stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure product strategies remain aligned with SAESL's digital transformation objectives and enterprise architecture.

3. Business Process Transformation

Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to redesign business processes using industry best practices.

Drive process standardisation across manufacturing and warehouse operations to improve efficiency and consistency.

Identify automation opportunities that enhance productivity, quality, operational efficiency, and turnaround time.

Ensure solutions comply with aerospace regulatory, quality, and operational standards.

4. SAP S/4HANA & Enterprise Integration

Lead end-to-end integration between shopfloor systems and SAP S/4HANA.

Define enterprise integration strategies, interface requirements, and system architecture principles.

Collaborate closely with SAP Product Leads, Enterprise Architects, and technical teams to deliver integrated business solutions.

Ensure reliable, secure, and real-time data exchange across enterprise applications.

5. Industrial IoT & Smart Manufacturing

Lead the implementation of Industrial IoT capabilities connecting production equipment, machines, and manufacturing assets.

Enable real-time production visibility, performance monitoring, and operational intelligence.

Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance manufacturing automation and digital capabilities.

6. Vendor & Delivery Management

Manage relationships with system integrators, implementation partners, and technology vendors.

Ensure contractual obligations, delivery milestones, quality standards, budgets, and timelines are achieved.

Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement through effective governance.

Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure successful programme execution.

7. Testing, Deployment & Operational Readiness

Lead Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Operational Readiness activities.

Ensure production readiness prior to deployment through comprehensive validation and risk assessments.

Coordinate business cutover planning, deployment execution, and operational transition.

Oversee post-go-live support, system stabilisation, benefits realisation, and continuous service improvement.

8. Product Operations & Continuous Improvement

Following programme implementation:

Own platform performance, availability, reliability, and service improvement initiatives.

Drive continuous product enhancements, innovation, and operational excellence.

Monitor product performance through defined KPIs and business outcome metrics.

Capture user feedback and translate insights into future product enhancements and releases.

Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps aligned with business priorities.

9. Governance, Risk & Compliance

Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and operational technology (OT) security standards.

Support audit, regulatory, and aerospace compliance requirements.

Manage programme and product risks, issues, changes, and governance processes.

Ensure data integrity, system traceability, and compliance across manufacturing applications.

10. Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong partnerships with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and IT stakeholders.

Engage senior leadership through regular programme updates, governance reviews, and strategic decision-making forums.

Drive organisational change management, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption initiatives.

Present business cases, investment proposals, product roadmaps, and programme progress to executive leadership and governance boards.

Qualification / Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 4 years of experience delivering enterprise manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain systems.

Proven experience leading or delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes.

Hands-on experience implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and/or Industrial IoT platforms.

Strong programme management, project delivery, and vendor management capabilities.

Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration, enterprise application architecture, and manufacturing operations.

Experience within the aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is preferred
