Clinical Nurse Consultant – Virtual Emergency, Critical Care, Close Observations & Virtual ADULTs

Western Virtual Division

About the role

The Western Virtual Division is a supportive, agile, and innovative team consisting of vCare (Virtual, Co-ordination, Access, Referral, Escalation), vRGS (Virtual Rural Generalist Service), iCiC (Integrated Care in the Community) and vAHS (Virtual Allied Health Service).

As a service, it operates, collaborating with rural and remote facilities, base hospitals, tertiary referral hospitals, Ambulance New South Wales, and all clinicians involved in the delivery of patient centred care.

In early 2025, Western Virtual commenced a new service – VirtualADULTs - providing virtual emergency care to patients in the community. Patients who contact Health Direct and would have previously been directed to Emergency Departments across NSW, will instead be connected with the VirtualADULTs service.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Virtual Emergency, Critical Care, Close Observation & VirtualADULTs provides expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the area of emergency, critical care and close observation in a virtual context.

We currently have multiple vacancies for clinicians throughout NSW, with the preference of location to be Dubbo or Orange, though this may be negotiable.
