Job Description Summary

The Site Operations Lead is responsible for leading and delivering all workplace and facilities operations across assigned BHP corporate sites, ensuring exceptional customer experience, operational excellence, safety compliance, and contractual performance. The role serves as the primary client relationship manager, overseeing site governance, stakeholder engagement, financial performance, vendor management, and service delivery. The position also leads, coaches, and develops multidisciplinary teams while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain consistent workplace standards, drive continuous improvement, and support business objectives.

About the role:

Lead and oversee all site operations, ensuring high service standards and operational excellence.

Serve as the primary contact for BHP Property & Workplace stakeholders and manage client relationships.

Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Lead and develop Facilities, Customer Experience, and Operations teams.

Manage recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance, and employee development.

Oversee vendor, contractor, supplier, and building management performance.

Coordinate facilities management services, maintenance, and workplace projects.

Manage operational issues, escalations, and business continuity requirements.

Own site budgets, forecasting, accruals, invoicing, procurement, and cost control.

Monitor KPIs and deliver governance, operational, and financial reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, HR, Projects, and FM.

Drive workplace innovation, continuous improvement, and process optimization.

Ensure delivery of contractual scope while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

About you:

Minimum 5+ years' experience leading and managing medium-to-large multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum 5+ years' experience in Facilities Management, Workplace Management, Property Management, or related environments.

Proven people leadership, coaching, performance management, and team development experience.

Strong stakeholder, client, contractor, and vendor management skills.

Experience managing budgets, forecasting, accruals, invoicing, and financial reporting.

Strong understanding of safety, risk, compliance, and governance requirements.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on service delivery and workplace experience.

Experience in facilities operations, maintenance, asset management, and workplace services.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational capabilities.

Proficiency in business systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
