The Urban Planner Lead role provides critical support to colleagues and leaders in delivering high-quality urban planning outcomes across a diverse pipeline of city-shaping projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. You will play a leading role in shaping strategic planning initiatives across infrastructure, precincts, transport, energy, and regeneration projects. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help deliver integrated, evidence-based solutions that respond to complex urban challenges and client needs.

The Opportunity

Lead and contribute to strategic urban planning projects, including precinct strategies, masterplans, policy development, and advisory work

Apply strong knowledge of the QLD planning system to deliver planning studies, statutory pathways, feasibility assessments, and due diligence

Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated outcomes across transport, sustainability, infrastructure, economics, and urban design

Develop high-quality, evidence-based reports, strategic advice, and planning documentation for clients and stakeholders

Build and manage client relationships while supporting business development through proposals, tenders, and identifying new opportunities

Is this role right for you?

10+ years of experience in urban and strategic planning, precinct planning, or related advisory roles

Strong expertise in the QLD planning system, including policy, approval pathways, and government priorities

Demonstrated ability to deliver complex planning projects, with excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills

Experience working in multidisciplinary environments, with strong collaboration and project management capabilities

Proficiency in spatial and analytical tools such as GIS and Excel, with the ability to translate data into clear planning insights
