The Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Management Specialist to join a high-performing team based in Melbourne. This is a hands-on role suited to a DevOps and Infrastructure professional with strong experience designing, supporting, and optimising modern cloud and infrastructure environments. You will play a key role in managing enterprise infrastructure, driving automation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the delivery of scalable and secure technology platforms.

Working closely with engineering, operations, and project teams, you will help establish best practices across infrastructure management, cloud operations, DevOps, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions supporting business operations.

Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives.

Implement cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.

Support containerised workloads and modern platform architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.

Implement security best practices and assist with compliance and governance requirements.

Conduct infrastructure reviews, system audits, and performance tuning activities.

Contribute to platform standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Stay current with emerging technologies and infrastructure trends.

What You'll Need

5–7 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Management roles.

Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tooling, and automation.

Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Strong experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience developing automation solutions using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.

Solid understanding of infrastructure operations, networking concepts, and system administration.

Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of cloud security principles and infrastructure best practices.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet is highly regarded.

Exposure to monitoring, observability, and logging platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is beneficial.

Experience with database administration, optimisation, or performance tuning is advantageous.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
