About the role

Overview:

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Our Tax Value Creation team is expanding as we continue to evolve how tax contributes to broader client solutions. This team plays a central role in integrating tax into Advisory offerings and shaping differentiated, market-leading solutions for our most strategic clients.

As a Senior Manager, you will take a leading role in identifying, designing, and scaling opportunities where tax enhances client offerings and drives measurable business outcomes. Working closely with senior Tax and Advisory leadership, you will help define how tax capabilities are brought to market, shape integrated solutions for complex engagements, and influence how we deliver value across priority accounts.

You will operate at the intersection of tax, strategy, technology, and execution - helping define go-to-market approaches, bringing new offerings to life, and driving adoption across the firm.

This is a builder role with meaningful opportunity to shape direction, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to how tax evolves within a leading professional services firm.

What you will do:

Lead strategic initiatives that drive growth across the Tax practice, with a focus on embedding tax into priority Advisory offerings

Identify and shape opportunities where tax capabilities enhance client value propositions and differentiate market offerings

Design and operationalize new offerings, including defining scope, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving execution across priority accounts

Act as a connector across Tax, Advisory, and industry teams, leading the delivery of integrated, client-centric solutions

Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including partners, to align priorities and drive execution against strategic objectives

Lead business development efforts, including shaping integrated proposals for complex client opportunities

Translate technical tax concepts into commercially grounded insights that inform business decisions

Drive execution with pace and discipline, ensuring initiatives move from concept to implementation and deliver measurable impact

Mentor and coach team members, contributing to the development of a high-performing and entrepreneurial team

What you bring to this role:

7+ years of relevant tax experience, including experience operating in complex or cross-functional environments

CPA designation or LLB

Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Master of Tax (or equivalent progression)

Advanced technical tax capabilities with the ability to apply insights in strategic and commercial contexts

Strong business acumen and understanding of how integrated professional services offerings are developed and scaled

Experience working across disciplines, with meaningful exposure to Advisory, Deals, or consulting environments

Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives from concept through execution and deliver measurable outcomes

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments

Strong communication and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior stakeholders

Who will thrive in this role

An individual who:

Is motivated by building and shaping new offerings - not just delivering within established models

Operates effectively in ambiguity and brings direction, structure, and momentum

Thinks beyond tax and understands how it integrates into broader business strategy

Takes ownership of outcomes and drives initiatives forward with minimal direction

Influences stakeholders and aligns teams to deliver on shared goals

Is motivated by impact - both in client outcomes and firm growth

Providing you with the support you need to be at your best
