Quality Analyst / Test Engineer (Web and Mobile Applications)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Analyst / Test Engineer to ensure the highest quality of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual testing. Familiarity with automation testing processes and experience/exposure of setting up such framework scratch would be highly desirable. This role involves testing a wide range of digital products and applications, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-performance software.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing: Execute functional, regression, and integration tests for web and mobile applications to ensure the highest quality standards. Conduct Triage session with stakeholders as necessary.

Automation Testing: Assist in the development and execution of automated tests for both web and mobile applications

Test Planning & Documentation: Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects in bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira or excel based) and communicate issues effectively to all stakeholders.

Cross-Platform Testing: Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent performance and behaviour across different environments.

Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to existing testing processes and practices to optimize the testing lifecycle and ensure higher quality results.

Performance & Load Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess application scalability, stability, and response time under load.

Primary Skills (Required):

Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Experience using test management and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, Quality Center / similar platforms or Excel Based).

Ability to present clear, concise, and actionable testing metrics to various stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and senior leadership.

Experience with mobile application testing on Android and/or iOS and platforms.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes using tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI or similar) to manage Releases.

Any formal bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira or similar).

Handson experience of API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

Some exposure to Security testing for Web applications (guided by OWASP)

Secondary Skills (Preferred):

Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.) is a definite plus.

Experience in performance-Load testing and associated tools (JMeter, Loadrunner etc).

Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Total of 5-9 years of experience in software testing with a focus on web and mobile applications.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
