Senior Database Administrator- MongoDB

We are looking for a MongoDB Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience in MongoDB Atlas and application development. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing document-based data models, developing efficient MongoDB queries, optimizing database performance, and integrating MongoDB with enterprise applications using .NET/C#.

This is an application development role focused on MongoDB implementation and optimization rather than database administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design and develop application features using MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas.

· Design scalable document schemas based on business requirements.

· Develop efficient CRUD operations, including complex queries, filtering, sorting, pagination, bulk inserts, updates, and upserts.

· Optimize MongoDB queries using appropriate indexing strategies and analyze query performance using Explain Plans.

· Work with MongoDB Atlas clusters, collections, indexes, and data management features.

· Implement Change Streams for real-time event-driven applications.

· Integrate MongoDB with enterprise applications using the MongoDB .NET/C# Driver.

· Collaborate with backend developers to design scalable and performant data access layers.

· Support application performance tuning and troubleshoot MongoDB-related issues.

· Implement data lifecycle strategies using TTL indexes and archival approaches.

· Work closely with architects and engineering teams on solution design and implementation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· 4–8 years of application development experience with MongoDB.

· Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas.

· Experience designing scalable document-based data models.

· Strong knowledge of CRUD operations, Aggregation Pipeline, indexing, and query optimization.

· Experience integrating MongoDB with .NET/C# applications.

· Understanding of replication and sharding concepts within MongoDB Atlas.

· Experience working with Change Streams and event-driven applications.

· Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas Search, Full-Text Search, or Vector Search is preferred.

· Good understanding of application performance optimization and scalable architecture.
