As a Human Resources Generalist, you will manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the Human Resources Manager and HR Centers of Excellence. This role will be responsible for deploying policies and programs for onboarding, offboarding, compensation, engagement, employee communication, recognition and employee development. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively. This role will exhibit discretion, strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:
Role models leadership competencies and coaches employees and managers on competencies and company values
Awareness of Supply Chain business strategy and performance measurements and provides support to front line leaders to assist with execution
Understanding of Distribution Center (DC)organizational design and reporting structure and supports org design changes, communications and change management plans
Executes initiatives that foster productive and positive work environments and retain and engage employees
Support strategic plans to address workplace environment and retention issues
Supports employee concerns by providing guidance on HR policies, resolving conflicts and escalating issues to Centers of Excellence/HR leadership for workplace investigations
Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local employment laws; Conduct audits to ensure HR practices meet compliance standards
Supports hiring process by conducting front-line leader interviews and participating in candidate debrief feedback sessions
Assist in onboarding new employees, including coordinating orientation, preparing onboarding materials, and ensuring completion of necessary documentation for DC
Support offboarding processes by conducting exit interviews and obtaining supporting documentation
Assist in the implementation of performance reviews and feedback processes
Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions
Manages goals setting and performance review reporting processes to drive performance management completion with DC leadership
Supports annual compensation review process and COE by providing local market assessments
Coaches front -line leaders and employees on people and organizational issues as they surface
Review development resources utilization reports and drives higher participation throughout DC
Full understanding of HRIS and payroll systems and oversee reporting and data management needs
Manage benefits programs, answer employee inquiries, and ensure compliance with regulations
Ensure accurate maintenance of HR files and compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations and company policies
Ability to work overtime as required
Flexibility to rotate one weekend shift per month
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Work Environment:
This position works in a fast-paced distribution center , with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role is routinely exposed to standard warehouse equipment and noise levels.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience
2-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Generalist.
Experience working in a distribution center, manufacturing, fulfillment center or warehouse, preferred
In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practices,
Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion of professionalism
Demonstrate positive, customer service, and team-oriented demeanor
Bilingual - Spanish and/or French preferred

Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $60,000-$75,000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
