Responsibilities:

The Director, Sports Partnerships is a business development role responsible for managing a

sports partnerships strategy and identifying, developing, and securing new national and

international sales opportunities. Primary focus will be on team activations, fan experiences and

sports tours.

This is a hunter role. You are pipeline-obsessed. You open doors and thrive on building

Target partnerships could include:

Professional sports leagues, teams & college athletics – including league/team marketing

offices, stadium and arena ownership groups, and their fan zone, season activation, and

event programming

Major event organizing & host committees

Sports tours & traveling properties

Sports marketing & experiential agencies – often the procurement gatekeeper even when

the work is for a team or league

Brand sponsors with active sports marketing budgets – e.g., beverage, auto, tech, and

financial-services sponsors funding team activations and fan tours independent of the

rights holder

Combat sports, sports entertainment & esports – stadium-scale fan experience and

activation builds

The Director drives revenue through contracting lighting, audio, and video services, labor

support and custom scenic environments. As a highly visible role representing PRG’s Corporate

& Brand Experiences Group in the marketplace, the Director maintains a high level of

professionalism in every client and partner setting. The role is eligible for the PRG commission

plan.

The Director cultivates long-term, multidisciplinary, high-level client partnerships with an

emphasis on profitable scenic work. This individual works closely with Sales & Estimation,

Technical Design, and Project Management teams to develop concepts, budgets, and proposals

This position will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer.

Essential Functions

Identify, pursue, and secure new national and international sales opportunities, with a

primary focus on the sports vertical

Build and maintain long-term client relationships, emphasizing repeat business

Collaborate with Technical Design, Estimation, and Operations to align creative concepts

with feasible, cost-effective scenic solutions

Coordinate internal technical and service resources during early-stage project

development

Lead the RFP and presentation process from concept through award, including strategy,

pricing, and value positioning

Define project scope with clients, including scenic elements, budget, schedule, and

resource requirements

Identify and revenue opportunities within accounts, increasing scenic scope and

project value

Maintain accurate Salesforce records (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Projects) per

PRG standards

Position scenic as a lead discipline in client conversations, not just a supporting scope

Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events to build

brand presence and generate leads

across key client and partner networks.

Operational Excellence: Effective in fast-paced, high-pressure production environments,

able to balance real-time execution demands with long-term strategic priorities.

Enterprise Mindset: Ability to see beyond segment boundaries and connect PRG’s sport’s

business with the company's full portfolio of capabilities, clients and global resource to

unlock integrated opportunities.

Emotional Intelligence & Trust Building: High EQ with the ability to build trusted

relationships across clients, creative partners, and internal stakeholders while navigating

complexity and ambiguity.

Passion for the Industry: Genuine connection to sports and live entertainment,

production, and the people who power it, with an understanding of both its creative and

commercial dimensions.

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time

May occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

Must have the ability to see clearly (with or without corrective lenses) for work on and off

a computer

Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms

Understanding of and compliance with company policies

Travel Required

Extensive travel required, must have a valid passport and valid driver’s license

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $140,000-150,000, In addition, this role offers a commission opportunity. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data. Additionally, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions

This is a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation
