The Principal Engineer – Process Reliability and Process Transfer is a senior technical leadership role responsible for driving innovation, development, and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing processes across wafer fabrication, assembly, and/or test. This role combines deep process engineering expertise with cross-functional leadership to enable Process transfer, yield and reliability matching

Key Responsibilities

Lead development, integration, and qualification of advanced semiconductor processes.

Drive yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost optimization using DOE, SPC, and data analytics.

Enable NPI readiness and transition from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.

Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, and foundry partners.

Lead failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.

Required Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

10–15+ years of semiconductor process development experience.

Strong expertise in process integration, fab or assembly processes.

Experience with DOE, SPC, failure analysis, and reliability methodologies.

Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and process control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced process technologies or foundry environments.

Track record of patents, publications, or innovation leadership.

Experience working across global manufacturing sites.

Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

Influences cross-functional decisions and technology roadmap.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $139,370 to $201,815.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.

This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
