Backend Node.js Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Node.js Developer with strong Rust programming expertise to join engineering team. This role focuses on building high-performance backend services, scalable distributed systems, and modern APIs supporting large-scale retail and eCommerce platforms.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Rust and Node.js, enjoys solving complex backend challenges, and has experience developing highly available, production-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Rust and Node.js

Build high-performance APIs, microservices, and distributed systems

Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and system reliability

Develop secure RESTful APIs and backend integrations

Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design

Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

Strong professional experience developing backend applications with Rust (Must Have)

Strong experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

Experience building REST APIs and microservices

Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture

Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

Experience working in large-scale cloud-native environments

Knowledge of observability tools, logging, and monitoring

Experience supporting high-traffic consumer-facing applications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
