About the role

Job Description: Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop eco-system-based applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field • Hands on experience with Unix, Teradata and other relational databases. Experience with @Scale a plus. • 5+ years of experience in computer programming, software development or related • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role • Strong programming experience in Scala, Python & Cloud • Good programming experience in Java and Restful Webservices • Experience working with cloud solutions preferably Azure or GCP • 3+ years of solid Java and REST experience • 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions big data solution in Hadoop using Hive, Spark, HBase • Great numerical and analytical skills • Hands-on experience with SQL database design
