Analista de Crédito Senior

The Business Credit Office (BCO) team is part of COO at HSBC Mexico. As a Junior Credit Analyst, you’ll own the end-to-end credit process for Wholesale Banking customers, partnering with Relationship Managers to structure credit solutions aligned to clients’ financial needs and supporting the growth of HSBC’s lending portfolio.

Key responsibilities

Support RMs in structuring short- and long-term financing solutions.

Identify and assess risks to ensure proper mitigation and compliance with Mexican banking regulation and HSBC internal policies.

Prepare credit applications fully written in English, including financial statement analysis, industry analysis and annual projections to assess repayment capacity.

Monitor portfolio compliance (financial and non-financial terms), identify negative trends and ensure completeness of credit files to facilitate payments and disbursements.

Engage with clients to follow up documentation and obtain first-hand information for monitoring and new business opportunities.

Coordinate with internal support teams (spreading, file monitoring, operations, legal).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Financial Management, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related.

Proficient English (written and spoken).

Strong financial statement analysis skills.

Basic knowledge of derivatives.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple deliverables; proactive communication and teamwork.
