Senior Account Manager-Position Summary
The Senior Account Manager (SAM) serves as a strategic partner to key clients and is responsible for managing the company’s most complex, high-value, and multi-location accounts. This role goes beyond day-to-day account management by focusing on long-term client growth, strategic planning, account retention, revenue expansion, and business development.
The Senior Account Manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients, develops executive-level relationships, and collaborates across departments to ensure exceptional service delivery. This position also provides mentorship and guidance to Account Managers, supports sales initiatives, and contributes to the achievement of company growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders, property managers, facility managers, and key decision-makers across assigned accounts.
Serve as the primary strategic contact for the company’s largest and most complex client
relationships.
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.
Ensure high levels of client retention, loyalty, and long-term account growth.
Proactively anticipate client needs and develop customized solutions that align with their business objectives.
Account Growth and Business Development
Lead strategic account planning efforts to maximize revenue and profitability within assigned accounts.
Identify and pursue upselling, cross-selling, and expansion opportunities across landscaping, holiday décor, living walls, floral displays, and other service offerings.
Develop and present customized proposals, presentations, budgets, and service recommendations to prospective and existing clients.
Collaborate with leadership to establish annual growth goals and strategic initiatives for key accounts.
Monitor account performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Leadership and Strategic Collaboration
Mentor and support Account Managers by sharing best practices, coaching on client management, and assisting with complex account issues.
Partner with Operations, Design, Installation, Service, and Executive teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Assist in developing account management processes, standards, and performance expectations.
Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute insights regarding market opportunities, customer trends, and competitive activity.
Support onboarding and training efforts for new Account Managers when required.
Client Issue Resolution
Lead the resolution of escalated client concerns, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional resources to address issues and maintain client confidence.
Monitor service quality and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
Serve as an escalation point for challenging client relationships and service concerns.
Reporting and Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounts, opportunity, and pipeline information within the company CRM platform.
Prepare account performance reports, revenue forecasts, renewal projections, and growth plans.
Analyze client data and account trends to identify opportunities, risks, and service improvements.
Participate actively in pipeline reviews, leadership meetings, sales meetings, and professional development programs.
Meet or exceed established sales, retention, and account management performance metrics.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Minimum of seven (7) years of account management, customer relationship management, or business development experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within the landscaping, horticulture, facilities services, commercial services, or related industry.
Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and growing existing accounts.
Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, Landscape Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Aspire and or Titan service platform experience
Experience managing enterprise, multi-location, or national accounts.
Prior leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.
Professional certifications related to sales, customer success, business development, or horticulture.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and sales management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and stakeholder groups.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities.

Work is performed in both office and field environments, including outdoor settings with moderate to occasionally high noise levels.
Ability to travel to client sites, industry events, and company locations as required.

Compensation
