The Opportunity

Three years ago, we established our presence in the Netherlands and have since achieved significant growth across our portfolio. As we continue to strengthen and our Professional Indemnity offering, we are looking for a Senior PI Underwriter to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriting professional to play a key role in shaping and growing our PI portfolio, building strong broker relationships, and contributing to the strategic development of our business in the Dutch market.

Your new role:

Underwrite Professional Indemnity (PI) risks in accordance with the business plan, underwriting appetite, delegated authority, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the delivery of profitable growth.

Support the development,and execution of the PI underwriting strategy within the broader Financial Lines strategy, contributing to the achievement of the annual business plan and portfolio objectives.

Apply a Reinsurance Strategy to safeguard the portfolio.

Contribute to meetings to share knowledge and best practices.

Promote the department, division, and company to maximise brand leverage.

Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.

Continually develop technical knowledge and expertise.

Ensure accurate recording of insurance risks and compliance with regulations.

Be(come) responsible for the PI portfolio

About you

Extensive Professional Indemnity underwriting experience, with a proven track record of managing and growing profitable portfolios across a range of PI risks.

Strong understanding of the Dutch insurance market, including broker networks, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends within the Professional Indemnity segment.

Capability to analyse and interpret data

Intermediate level understanding of relevant software, including Excel and other departmental software packages.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Fluent in Dutch and English
