Title: Front-Office SQL Developer

Client: Rapidly Scaling Buy-Side Fund

The Role:

Our clients are looking for a senior SQL engineer to sit close to the trading desk and help build the systems that support a fast-moving, multi-asset investment operation across futures, crypto, and options.

You’ll work directly alongside traders, quants, and senior stakeholders to evolve core trading infrastructure, improve data workflows, and build tools that help the desk see real-time risk, performance, and positioning.

What you’ll do:

Develop and optimise SQL queries, views, and stored procedures supporting trading and research workflows

Maintain and enhance data models across market, execution, and portfolio datasets

Support front-office users with data analysis, ad hoc queries, and tooling

Improve performance and reliability of data pipelines and reporting systems

Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable data solutions

Assist in monitoring and validating data quality in near real-time environments

The Tech:

SQL Server

C# /.NET

Who You Are:

Strong commercial SQL experience (complex queries, performance tuning, data modelling)

Experience working in a financial services or trading environment (front-office ideally)

Strong understanding of relational databases and large-scale datasets

Strong software engineering background (C#, or other OOP languages)

Comfortable working closely with non-technical stakeholders

Strong academic background (degree preferred but not required!)
