About the role

Responsibilities

You will contribute to a high-throughput, low-latency trading platform, with direct impact on business performance:

Design and develop high-performance Java components for real-time trading systems

Deliver new features while maintaining strict latency, throughput and resiliency constraints

Analyse and optimise system performance (CPU, memory, threading, GC)

Collaborate closely with traders, business analysts and support teams

Participate in production support (L3) and ensure system reliability

Contribute to architecture evolution and scalability improvements

Support onboarding of new products and business expansions

Continuously improve development practices, tooling and automation

Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and code quality

Profile required

Experience & technical skills

Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Strong experience in Core Java (10+ years) in performance-critical environments

Deep expertise in:

Concurrency, multi-threading, synchronization, executors

Memory management, collections, streams, generics

Proven experience in low latency / high throughput systems

Experience with performance tuning & profiling tools (JMH, JProfiler, VisualVM, etc.)

Solid knowledge of:

Distributed systems, messaging (JMS), APIs (REST/gRPC)

Unix/Linux environments and SQL

Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)

Knowledge of derivatives/trading systems is a strong plus

Agile mindset and familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins)

Fluent English required

Interest or experience in AI-augmented development (Copilot, LLMs, automation tooling) is a strong advantage
